MVP Haters Come Here ft. Mauisnake and Striker

A special double-guest episode of the Come Here podcast dove into the MVP criteria and gave insight into controversial past decisions.

Long-time MVP critic Alex "Mauisnake" Ellenberg and HLTV's Editor-in-Chief Milan "Striker" Švejda joined the regular Come Here panel of Danish "Nohte" Allana and Harry "NER0" Richards to shed light on the process and decision-making that goes into awarding the medals, how it affects the Top 20 list, and more.

The podcast broke down the criteria used for MVPs and EVPs, how the process has (or hasn't) changed over the years, and reviewed recent decisions event-by-event to answer questions from Mauisnake and the community surrounding awards like Danil "donk" Kryshkovets getting the BLAST Open Porto medal over Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov , Nikola "NiKo" Kovač beating Emil "nota" Moskvitin at BLAST Bounty Season 1 Finals, and Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut clinching the MVP instead of Robin "ropz" Kool at the StarLadder Budapest Major.

Striker and NER0 also explained the tiebreaker process and cleared up widespread confusion and misunderstanding around why different metrics are referenced in MVP decision articles.

Does NER0 rig MVPs for Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov ? Does Striker award them for the sake of making the Top 20 race more interesting? All that and more is answered in the podcast, which you can watch on Spotify or YouTube .
