Privacy

Zonactu has no accounts, no ads, no audience measurement and no trackers. No data is sold or shared for advertising.

Cookies

The site only sets cookies that remember your choices, so that it works the way you set it. They are not used to follow you, which is why the site does not ask for your consent. Each lasts a year, and you can delete them at any time in your browser.

• lang: the language you chose.
• theme: the light or dark theme you chose.
• home: the zone that opens when you type zonactu.fr.
• games: the games you follow in "My games" (Zone Gaming).
• team: your club (Zone Foot).
• platform: the gaming platform you chose (Zone Gaming).
• fav_…: each zone's pinned sections.

Your browser also keeps, on your device only, the list of the latest stories you have already seen, to show you "You left off here". It is never sent to the server.

Contact form

Your message, with your name and e-mail address if you give them, is passed to the publisher in a Google Sheets spreadsheet (Google). This information is only used to answer you, and is deleted on request. To block abuse, the server remembers for ten minutes, in memory only, how many messages each IP address has sent.

Hosting

The site is hosted in France, in Marseille, by Oracle. The server keeps no log of visits.

Content from other sites

Story pictures are loaded from the outlets' sites, and game pictures from Steam and IsThereAnyDeal: as with any site, those servers then see your device's IP address. "See the deal" links go through IsThereAnyDeal on their way to the store. Automatic translation of the stories is done by Cloudflare: only the stories' text is sent, nothing about you.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data through the contact form. You can also complain to the CNIL, France's data protection authority (cnil.fr).
