Sony has agreed to transfer 419 global VR patents to Meta, with 180 patents filed in the US under an agreement signed in December 2025.
As reported by ZDNet Korea (via Digital Foundry ), the remainder have been filed in Japan, China, Korea, Europe, and other regions.
