FRAG University has just concluded, with major PGL Singapore implications. Wildcard not only won the event, but also significantly improved their chances of qualifying for the PGL Major Singapore in December.
NRG, on the other hand, have seen their Major chances deflate slightly. After a poor performance at iBUYPOWER Masters FML 2026, NRG's chances of making the Major fell due to their fourth-place finish at FRAG University 2026, according to HLTV .
Each of the teams in seventh through tenth place in the Americas VRS were in action at FRAG University. As a reminder, the top nine teams from the Americas VRS filter will be invited to the PGL Major Singapore.
Wildcard were the biggest movers at FRAG, as they gained 167 points and put themselves at #39 in the global VRS rankings after climbing 22 places. Wildcard leap-frogged NRG and Imperial, who both started FRAG University far ahead of Wildcard, but now sit at #42 and #43, respectively. Wildcard now have a 73% chance of making the Major in HLTV's calculations.
NRG gained points and moved up a couple places, but they're now in jeopardy of missing out on the Major. They had a 79% chance, which has now fallen to 63% after FRAG. NRG's next and final event before the Major invite cutoff on November 2nd will be NSTLGA Texas. If NRG place top-two or higher at NSTLGA, their chances of making the Major jump up to 89%.
NRG's main competition will be Imperial, who have two more events before November 2nd. NRG will hope that Imperial can't make a deep run at either of their two events: Circuit X Curitiba Season 4 and Gamers Club Masters VII. If Imperial do well at those events, their Major odds of making the Major will jump to 83%.
In other news, Without a Roof also gained significant ground after a 5th-6th place finish, with the team climbing 12 positions to enter the Top 90 worldwide.
