After an overtime loss to Imperial ended their campaign at FRAG University, NRG's odds of securing an invite to the PGL Singapore Major have dropped significantly. Their chances sat around 65% going into the event according to HLTV's prediction model, and they have dropped to just above 50%, putting them outside the invite bubble.

With no more events on their calendar, NRG have signed up for the upcoming NSTLGA Texas LAN to try and get some last-minute points. Running right before the cutoff from October 30th to November 1st, the event will feature other notable squads like regain, NuTorious, and LAG.

Though the Texas LAN has some solid names slated to attend, it's difficult to predict how much impact it will have on NRG's VRS. The team count is now at twelve, putting the scaling prize pool at $7,500. This is considerably smaller than events that rivals are attending, like FiRe Last Chance at $75k, reducing its impact. Additionally, it's unclear how many matches will be covered by HLTV, potentially limiting gains further.

The race for AME spots at the Major is largely between NRG, Wildcard, Imperial, and DENDELE, with three spots available for the four organizations. With the other three teams still alive at FRAG University and registered for other events like FiRe Last Chance and Circuit X Curitiba Season 4, NRG will have a very difficult time getting an invite unless their rivals suffer big losses, even with a win at NSTLGA LAN.

In addition to other NA teams, Sashi is expected to attend . After signing two Australians to create an Asian core alongside Vietnamese player Anton "Anlelele" Huynh, they signed and apparently dropped New Zealander Michael "chelleos" Hawkins within a couple of days. As they have no VRS points and an unstable roster, their attendance may not be certain.

A lot is still dependent on the remaining matches at FRAG University and future events, but NRG currently faces an uphill battle if they want to maintain their streak of attending the last three Majors.
