After a solid opening, Wonka ‘s the Golden Ticket jumped up to the top overall spot in Nielsen’s streaming ratings in its second week. Netflix’s East of Eden also had a good start.
The Golden Ticket , a Netflix competition show based on the world of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (and featuring an AI-generated voice modeled on the film’s star, Gene Wilder), drew 1.08 billion minutes of watch time for the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 4. That’s a 26 percent improvement on the show’s opening week , when it finished fifth overall.
