Don't neglect crafting furniture in your Arc Raiders outpost—it unlocks hundreds of extra storage slots
Turns out decorating your home away from home isn't purely cosmetic.
No other outlet followed by Zonactu reports this story yet.
Arc Raiders ' new outpost system arrived with the Frozen Trail update, and like many I'm sure, I pretty much ignored the entire furniture aspect of it. My mind was occupied with upgrading the outpost itself, building rooms, and trying to get an Emperor Modulator and Frigate Inductor to level my Gunsmith and Research Bench. I wanted those spicy new amplified weapon upgrades like explosive bullets or incendiary shells.
I assumed the whole building outpost furniture thing was a cosmetic feature, but I was dead wrong. Crafting furniture in your Arc Raiders outpost actually gives you hundreds of extra storage slots for items and weapons and it's fairly easy to unlock, you just need to:
After that, you can complete the project and move in, recycle all of the boxes under blankets to get some planks, and start crafting some furniture.
Select an empty furniture slot in your main outpost, or by building a new room to put some in.
You can find more blueprints for furniture out in the world, usually in residential areas—I've found tonnes in Pendola Pass's Old Town. If you fully take advantage of the three rooms your outpost offers, filling them with furniture, it'll give you a whole heap of extra storage.
The only problem right now is that you can't change your outpost's rooms and layout once constructed, so pick wisely.
