Sam Fleischner is a filmmaker, curator, and builder whose work bridges art, public space, and civic life. He co-founded the Rockaway Film Festival in 2018, where he serves as Artistic Director. He has directed and produced several feature films (“Stand Clear of the Closing Doors,” “Wah Do Dem,” “Below the Brain,” and “Donald Cried”) that have screened internationally and received numerous festival awards, along with recognition from the Independent Spirit Awards and the National Board of Review.
